Hello green beauty enthusiasts, I hope you’ve been having a nice June so far. I’ve been going to the gym often, so my makeup style has been very minimalist and I’ve been sticking to the natural glam look, by just amping up the radiance and glow. It’s amazing what a good highlighter, blush and gloss can do.
And of course, I cannot imagine doing a natural glow ‘look’ without well, natural and organic products. How contradictory would it be to use conventional, toxic makeup to get healthy looking skin? That’s why I am in love with my makeup life – cosmetics that have color and glamorize all while containing food grade ingredients that will contribute to my skin’s betterment.
I started this look off with a light application of Sappho Organics Liquid Foundation in ‘Lisa’.
I concealed under my eyes with RMS Beauty “un” cover up in shade 11. The way I feel about this concealer, other than that it works amazingly, is that I like the idea of putting healing oils everyday in the area that is prone to crow’s feet. Dual purpose of anti-aging qualities and ability to cover up.
I lined my lips with Benecos Natural Lipliner in “Brown”. I use this lipliner basically all the time because it is the color of my natural lips but just a bit darker. I feel lipliner is a necessity to get a nice defined shape.
On my lips is FitGlow Beauty Good Gloss in “Koi”. This is a really nice warm, but not too warm shade if that makes sense. It’s definitely suitable for the summer, and the color made me instantly think of wearing it with a glowy tan. Not that I’m very tanned yet. It is translucent and the color is understated which makes it perfect for a daytime summer look or would probably be really nice with a dramatic smokey eye. (Hmm I think I will do that soon…)
I am wearing FitGlow Beauty Mineral Blush “Fresh” on my cheeks. It matches really well with the “Koi” and has a slight shimmer to it. I really like this blush – not too warm, not too cool, just right. (Use code WISEGLOW to get a 15% discount on FITGLOW Beauty products online)
RMS Beauty Living Luminizer is what I used as a highlight on my cheekbones, tip of my nose and inner eye corners. This is what really ties the whole look together, I think. Only thing is, you have to be sure to blend the mineral blush upward again into the Luminizer so that there is a blended transition between the two. Otherwise you get a noticeable edge. It can be a tricky thing to use both a cream and powder on the cheeks.
I used W3ll People Expressionist Bio Extreme Mascara, however this is not my favourite natural mascara. It looks damn good when you first put it on but doesn’t have the best staying power. I much prefer the 100 Percent Pure Fruit Pigmented Mascara, because it is more durable and does not ‘fall’ as much.
As an afterthought, I darkened my brows with Eco Brow in “Marilyn”. Brows are all of the sudden a thing, and I’m into it.
