This is one of the first natural lipsticks I have ever tried, and I am very impressed with the quality and color. What I love about it is that it is very creamy and moisturizing and does not dry out your lips. I’ve actually used it when I couldn’t find my lip balm in the wintertime and it provided the same relief.
The color is described as ‘shimmery pearly purple with cool undertones’, although it is more on the pink side than purple, but definitely cool and pearly. I find it versatile for either a daytime or evening look. For a more casual, “girl next door” look it can be applied sparingly, or used without lip liner. For a more made up, sexy look I used it in combination with Mineral Fusion lip pencil in Splendido.
The ingredient list for this product is very clean. Although it is not listed on the EWG Skin Deep Database, all the ingredients receive either a 0 or very low hazard score.
Regrettably I have come to the end of this lipstick tube which didn’t last me very long, since I used it quite often. To add more to my regret, they no longer carry Delizioso at the Big Carrot, which is where I purchased it.
Please let me know if you have encountered this lipstick in other retail stores in Toronto, and feel free to share your comments or information about other natural lipsticks.
