I did a brief review on “Ilia Karma Chameleon” a little while back. and I’ve actually been gravitating more towards this lip color again since the weather got warmer. It seems that it’s well known as a popular summer lipstick.
Here I’ve paired it with a predominantly cool colored top to compliment the vibrant color of Karma Chameleon.
The color continues to elude me, and I think this character is what makes it so intriguing. It’s orange-ish, pink, and red all at once – described by Ilia Beauty as a fiery coral. It looks super bright on its own, but on me doesn’t show up with quite the same vibrancy, and I think this is because of the consistency. It’s not as thick as a lipstick (it’s a lipstick ‘crayon‘) and therefore not completely opaque, so my natural lip pigmentation blends in with it. This works well for me because I think it would be too bold otherwise.
It’s very moisturizing and lightweight, and doesn’t dry out the lips. It is formulated with organic oils of sunflower seed, sesame and rose hip. It can be purchased online from or Detox Market.
TIP: To make the colour stand out more and the edges sharp, apply a neutral colored lipliner very sparingly. I’ve been using Benecos Natural Lipliner in Brown.
