The spotlight smokey eye is one of my favorite makeup looks to do and now it’s even more fun with my very first eye shadow by W3ll People. This is an all natural eye shadow with no artificial ingredients or parabens.
I have the Elitist Mineral Shadow 814, color description “Sparkling Salmon”. If you’re a blue/green eyed girl, you’d do well to have this one – the contrast of the orangey sparkle with cool colored eyes is magnifique. This is a very high quality eyeshadow that is very shimmery, lasts all day and doesn’t crease.
I used it with a shadow by Sappho Organics called ‘Cravin Cocoa’, which I think is unfortunately discontinued.
Here are some snapshots of my process:
Start with a primed, concealed and powdered eye. I always apply a ‘powder shelf’ which is a thick layer of powder underneath the eye, to catch any excess shadow.
Then, with the Sappho Organics shadow, apply the darker color all around the eye and up into the crease, leaving blank spots as shown.
Then blend it out with a thicker eyeshadow brush to smooth it out and create a smokey look
Add W3ll People Elitist Shadow ‘Sparkling Salmon’ to blank spots above and below the lash lines. I apply it wet by scooping some of the shadow out and mixing it with a drop of water.
Add liner. I used Benecos Natural Kajal pencil liner and smoothed it out with a tiny liner brush.
Remove the ‘powder shelf’ with a clean powder brush.
Et Voila. No toxic preservatives on these eyes! xo
P.S – On my lips I used just a neutral lip liner and rms living luminizer
