Happy 2018, World!
I’m enjoying the frozen beauty of winter, and the natural world at rest and repose before we slowly thaw into Spring.
Since it is hibernation season I think it is a good time to practice and enhance skills that require us to be indoors – like working on the computer and artistic endeavors.
Sometimes we get the blues at the end of the year thinking we didn’t accomplish all we had imagined we would. But remember that even a year isn’t a long time in the grand scheme of things. And every little thing that we do, every day that we practice something towards a grander goal is like a drop that will eventually fill a bucket.
Have standards, be diligent and organized but be kind to yourself.
Create or learn something not because you are instructed to by a job, but because you want to and that is your human potential.
“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.” – Henry David Thoreau
