This is a vintage Italian linen skirt that I purchased at the Kind Exchange. It makes my heart skip a beat a little because I have nostalgia for past times (like Owen Wilson’s character in Midnight in Paris) and yellow is my Grandmother’s favorite color, so it reminds me of her class and beauty. I also like the modesty of the length which reflects the character of the ladies during the time it was made. I think modesty and class are things young women should reclaim in these days of vulgarity.
Anyways, I love this new addition to my wardrobe since I have decided to wear more natural clothing as opposed to synthetic in order to avoid a steady absorption of toxins into my skin. It’s going to be a slow process to completely detoxify my wardrobe (and still have it look good), but at least I am now one skirt closer.
I also purchased the handbag from the Kind Exchange for a really good price. While it probably isn’t made of toxin-free materials at least it is being recycled which makes it an eco-friendly accessory.
