The first thing I noticed about the 100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Mascara in Black Tea is that it smells like berries. The second thing I noticed was how great it looks. It claims to be ultra-lengthening and it really is, as well as thickening. Even just one application makes a significant difference in how long my lashes look. What I love about it is that you’re not limited to a natural look with this natural mascara. One coat and it’s good for a day time look but then let it dry, curl your lashes then add a second or a third coat – damn girl.
As for duration, this mascara generally stays put and looks good all day long. Occasionally it starts to flake a tiny bit by the end of the day, leaving very faint black smudges under the eyes. This is so minor that it hasn’t deterred me from using it however, and I’ve repurchased it in the past despite that little flaw. To me, having to quickly touch up my eye makeup one time in a day is a small price to pay for having the peace of mind of not applying chemical products around my eyes.
I’ve discovered, as an added bonus to this mascara, that it can be used as liquid eyeliner as well. This can be done by scraping some of the product onto a palette (or butter knife or spoon if you don’t have a palette) and blending it with almost an equal amount of the 100% Pure Luminous Primer with an angled liner brush. This way it applies very wet so you can create a nice wing, then it dries and seals, staying on for the whole day.
If you’re currently using a mainstream mascara, compare the ingredient list with this one. Guaranteed you’ll find a big difference;
